How can you learn to depend on the Father as Jesus did?

The message presents the second of the seven laws that governed the life of the Son of God: the law of dependence. Jesus took no initiative and waited for the Father’s directions. Since sin, the soul has taken over; it must now learn to wait, while the Holy Spirit, in our spirit, gives His directions to our intuition.

This message is for you if…

  • you often rush ahead without knowing whether God is sending you
  • you want to wait for God’s directions before you act
  • you want to be led by the Holy Spirit

Summary

How can you tell whether you are following God's direction or simply acting on your own impulses? In this Morning Manna message, Pastor Xutene Wanakaija turns to John 5:19 and 30 to explore Jesus' dependence on the Father.

The message calls us to examine our initiatives, learn to wait, and honor the Holy Spirit's work within us. The pastor connects this dependence with the restoration of our inner life: the spirit receiving God's direction and the soul learning to serve rather than take control.

This is an invitation to seek the Father's will and let the Holy Spirit guide our daily walk. The life of Christ becomes something we practice as we learn to depend on God.
