How can you let God restore your inner life?
“The work is great,” David said about building the temple. The message gives two reasons: the damage of sin, which turned God’s flawless work into a real mess, and the work that still remains to be done inside a person after redemption. The Holy Spirit and the Cross work together to restore this palace meant for God.
This message is for you if…
- you see the damage sin has done in your life
- everything looks fine on the outside but not on the inside
- you want to become God’s dwelling place
Summary
God has redeemed us to be His dwelling place. What work still needs to happen within us? Beginning with David's words in 1 Chronicles 29:1, Pastor Xutene Wanakaija uses the image of a palace being restored to explore God's work in the believer.
The message distinguishes redemption from the continuing work of inward restoration. Sin has left disorder within us, and the Holy Spirit and the Cross work together to clear away what does not belong and form the character of Christ.
The pastor describes the Cross as a principle of life: giving God every right and the freedom to live His life in us. This evening reflection invites us to yield room for that work and honor the Holy Spirit's ministry.
