What does it mean to worship God in spirit and in truth?
In the incarnation, Jesus was rightly ordered within and lived by the life of His Father, governed by seven laws. The first is the law of worship in spirit and in truth: the Holy Spirit, in our spirit, gives the revelation of worship, and the soul expresses what comes from the spirit. Because sin has brought disorder into us, the inner work of separating spirit and soul is necessary; without it, worship remains worship through the soul.
